While we were in Nova Scotia, we spent a few days at the Pictou Lodge Beach Resort, minutes from both the town of Pictou and from the Prince Edward Island Ferry.
Cape Breton Island is at the eastern end of Nova Scotia and is most famous for the Cabot Trail roadway encircling the island. We spent a few days exploring the Cabot trail which included a hike at Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
Last summer, we had the good fortune to spend a couple of days in Kelowna, British Columbia as part of our 20 day British Columbia trip.
I was traveling with my family in the beginning of January when I received an e-mail from my friend Claire saying that she booked a spa getaway in February and included my name on the list. As much as I got excited to get away for one night, my mind immediately started to race on all the things I had to do prior to leaving the house without the kids.
When Life With A Baby, an organization I have come to rely on since having my daughter 2 years ago, announced they were partnering with Ste. Anne’s Spa as a way for moms to take some time for self-care, I didn’t hesitate to jump in on the opportunity. Spending a night in a cottage and the day in a Spa with girlfriends isn’t something that happens every day so when the offer comes up…you take it!

This was our first visit to Alberta, and we decided to explore, Canmore, Banff, and Lake Louise before heading to British Columbia for the remainder of our 20 day trip.
