When I lost Shawn, the world seemed different. Places we visited became painful reminders of happier days. Places we dreamed of visiting became echoes of what could have been. I was not sure if I could ever travel again. ​ A while later, I found the list of destinations Shawn and I had planned to visit. It broke my heart at how close we were to fulfilling that dream. A close friend reminded me that Shawn would always be with me - in every journey and every moment of wonder. So until I have the heart to do that trip, I will move forward, carrying him with me in every step, every plane ticket, every meal, and every sunset in a new place.
