The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto

We recently did a staycation at The Westin Habour Castle, Toronto, and it had the feel of a luxury waterfront resort right in the heart of everything. Whether you are visiting for a weekend or a little longer with friends or family, I found the amenities to be plentiful.

If you want to start your morning with yoga, a yoga studio is available for you to book. Want to go to the gym? Easy, and they even have gear rentals available if you don’t want to bring yours. The biggest treat for biking enthusiasts is the complimentary rental of e-bikes. The rental is for up to two hours, and you can explore downtown Toronto or the Islands. Yes, you can take the e-bike over to the island however, bikes are not allowed on the ferry, so you’d have to take a water taxi over.

There are many food options in the hotel, including room service. A unique feature offered seasonally is the opportunity to BBQ and make your family dinner on the 5th-floor terrace. Everything you need is provided to you by the hotel. All you have to do is order the fresh items you would like off their BBQ menu, and the team will prepare and deliver everything you need. The best part? They’ll also clean up when you are done.

There is a Tim Hortons right outside the hotel, you can order through the app and select mobile pick up, avoiding the huge line that is always wrapped around the building in the mornings. By the time I got dressed and went downstairs, the order was ready, and everyone had a leisurely breakfast while taking in the views from the room.

I do recommend heading over to the food trucks along the water. The Mexican food truck was incredible! We had to go back and order more because the kids ate more than we anticipated of ours.

Not many hotels offer a kids club with actual options. This is where The Westin Habour Castle, Toronto, does it right. The many available options felt like a real vacation, and the kids had many choices without leaving the hotel. The movie room, where you can watch some family favourites, is a nice way to watch a family movie together outside of the room, or you can set up the kids to watch the movie while you spend some alone time at the pool. With everyone on the same floor, it made it very easy and low effort.

And, of course, there is the pool! The pool area is designed with families in mind, and I loved the “day at the beach” vibes along the side. It’s easy to spend a good portion of the day in the pool area with the indoor and outdoor seating area, the gardens, the rooftop BBQ, tennis courts, and the rooftop gardens & beehive.

As you may have noticed, the theme of this post is a no-fuss, relaxing, low-effort family getaway. I’m a mom, so sleep matters to me, and I hate when I go away and cannot sleep well to the point that I sometimes bring my pillow with me. However, I know when I’m going to a Westin property, I don’t have to worry about this. They have a whole program all around sleep, the accommodations at The Westin Habour Castle, Toronto features the Westin Heavenly® Beds combined with the different types of pillows and lavender essential oil to wind I slept well.

The options are almost endless if you are there for longer than a few days and want to explore. The hotel is literally steps to the entrance for the ferry to the Toronto Islands and within walking distance of many of the major attractions.

Whether you are looking for a short stay to relax for the weekend or a longer trip, The Westin Habour Castle, Toronto, is an excellent spot for those looking for luxury, relaxation, and ease.
